Staff Application
This application is being sent on behalf of Erik, the server owner. My Minecraft experience starts with my hobby, which is making videos for YouTube. The type of videos that I make are known as 'brickfilms' and its a little bit difficult to explain what a brickfilm actually is, so I'll just give you the link to my channel.

That also explains my username. There are several websites that provide support for 'brickfilmers' like myself, that recommended Minecraft for creativity expansion, building skill, and patience. Through that, I've met several online friends who enjoy doing the same thing. I then got the opportunity to join for the first time, a multiplayer server. I had no idea what to expect. I had no idea what to do, or how it worked. You could probably describe those days for me as being a first time newbie. I eventually got the hang of it however, and a friend of mine (who was the owner of the server) gave me permission to be on staff. Not even a day, or two days later after I had gotten staff, the server was destroyed by a guy named Brad. The other staff members really didn't know what to do at that point, so I decided to step up. I had an idea awhile before this to remake the entire cities of Gotham, and Metropolis all in Minecraft form. It was honestly the nerdiest dream ever. But after 3-4 months of work, research, and nerdy superhero knowledge it was just about finished. It was huge. It cost a ton of money. And no real users had even been on it yet. We needed some extra help building however, so a friend of mine, (the one who was running the whole thing) Invited Brad back online. He didn't take the fact well that I was a staff member, and didn't really work for it. So, a few weeks later, when Brad invited all of his friends on the server, I had to control and manage 10+ people to get them to build what I wanted, and when I wanted it, and where. I kept that up for about a week, until Brad hit his last straw. I went online one day, everything seemed normal, but Brad had replaced every block in both cities with TNT. He was waiting for me, and once I got online, and saw what he had ready, the server never went back online. It was gone, all the work and money that we put into it was ruined by one guy. That really hurt me... But its like they say when you loose a limb, you do heal, but you're never the same. I learned an important lesson that day. I learned that all of this Minecraft stuff is just pixels on a computer screen, and no one has any reason to 'rage quit' over something that isn't real. So over time, I made a few more servers, ran them and such... I've never done any work with the actual console however, like installing plugins and things of that sort. I'm more of an artistic person. I enjoy drawing, and creating things for people to enjoy. Recently though I haven't been into Minecraft that much, due to the fact that I need to focus on my videos. Although its not a problem for me to check in every now and then to help out. Thank you for reading.
